About the firm

A partner to founders, not only a source of funding

Al Wadyat Capital is an investment and advisory firm working with early-stage companies in blockchain and fintech. We operate from Business Bay in Dubai and across three other markets. The point of the firm is simple: bright ideas fail for structural reasons far more often than for technical ones, and most of those reasons are fixable before a raise rather than after it.

Investment, advisory and the work in between

Al Wadyat offers business consultancy, investment strategies and project management to companies building in blockchain and fintech. In practice those three headings collapse into one job: taking a venture that is interesting and making it fundable, compliant and capable of surviving the twelve months after the money arrives.

That is why the firm is organised as six services rather than one product. A company that needs its regulatory route mapped does not need a cap table redesigned, and a company with a signed term sheet does not need an investor introduction. Scoping decides which of the six is actually in play, and the rest stay out of the way.

Six bars of different lengths gathered under a single bracket

Blockchain and fintech, deliberately narrow

Both sectors share a characteristic that makes generic advice dangerous: the product and its regulation are the same object. A payments feature is a licence question. A token is a securities question in one jurisdiction and a commodity question in another. A custody decision is an insurance and audit question long before it is an engineering one.

Specialising means the first conversation can start at the second question instead of the first. It also means we decline work outside those sectors rather than learning on a founder's runway.

Dubai as a base, three other markets as tools

The office is in The Prism Tower, Unit 1503, Al Mostaqbal Street, Business Bay — a financial district chosen because the counterparties a young fintech needs are within walking distance of each other.

Beyond the UAE we operate in St. Vincent, Panama and Bangladesh. Each is on the list because it answers a specific structural or operational question for a technology company, and the markets page sets out what each one is genuinely useful for.

How we operate

Four things founders can hold us to

These are not values on a wall. They are the four commitments that decide what an engagement with Al Wadyat looks like day to day.

Dedicated focus

We support startups in high-growth sectors — blockchain and fintech — so the advice is specific to how those companies are financed, regulated and broken. Outside those sectors we are the wrong firm, and we say so early.

Active partnership

Investing or advising means engaging deeply with the project: reading the product, meeting the people who deliver the plan, and steering an early-stage company towards decisions it can actually execute.

All-round support

The services cover the whole arc, from securing funding to navigating a regulatory landscape. A founder should not have to assemble four advisers to answer one question about a single quarter.

Expansive network

Access to industry leaders and investors is the resource an early company cannot build for itself in time. Introductions are made where they are genuinely relevant, not distributed as a volume exercise.

Plain statements

What this website does and does not claim

An advisory firm asking founders to be precise should be precise about itself. The following is the whole of what we assert on these pages.

Sectors and services

Blockchain and fintech, through the six services described on this site. Anything outside that is scoped case by case or declined.

Where we are

The Prism Tower, Unit 1503, Al Mostaqbal Street, Business Bay, Dubai, U.A.E., with operations across St. Vincent, Panama and Bangladesh.

How to reach us

Written enquiry, answered within 24 hours. Email and the enquiry form are the only channels we ask you to use.

What we do not publish

No client names, no portfolio list, no assets under management, no track record and no testimonials. If it is not on this site, treat it as not claimed.

What we are not

Not a law firm, not an auditor, not a licensed broker of retail investments and not a public fund. Where a regulated party is required, we help you find one.

Start with the actual problem

Whether the question is a licence, a structure, a round or a risk you cannot price, the first message is the same: what you are building, where it stands, and what is in the way.
